Statt Theater Vegesack

"Theatre for Bremen-North".[1] This Theater Assoziation lies in the surrounding area of Bremen called Vegesack. The Assoziation aims to have three to five plays are produced annually. The Amateurs perform and bring together the Collective of the Vegesack community.

History

In 1989, Max Wölfl founded the Statt-Theater Vegesack with Gerd Linke and other theatre enthusiasts from Bremen North. The aim of this non-profit association is to continuously offer challenging theatre plays for Bremen-North. The theatre association receives no public funding and is financed exclusively by membership fees, entrance fees and donations.With more than 100 theatre productions since its foundation, the association has significantly enriched the cultural landscape of Bremen-North. Over 95,000 spectators have attended the productions to date.[2]

Maxim and Topics

The repertoire is diverse: classics, modern plays, comedies, revues, thrillers, dramas, experimental theatre and in-house productions. No theatre genre is excluded by the theatre makers. More so promoting young talent is a top priority at Statt-Theater Vegesack. Numerous active amateur actors have been trained by the Statt-Theater junior ensemble.
