Box and Cox

Box and Cox is a one-act farce written by the prolific playwright John Maddison Morton. It was very popular with amateur theatre enthusiasts in Britain in the second half of the nineteenth century and became a staple of the amateur theatre repertoire. It was first performed professionally on 1 November 1847 at the Lyceum Theatre in London.
